The Quievac Shoe Collective is taking ingenuity to another level in Guatemala. JUSTA began working with this group in 2012 after being amazed by their work with recycled tire soles on their sandals. We embarked on a creative exploration to design our knee height Fiesta Boots. The attention to detail and persistence of these artisans are remarkable. Since designing these boots, JUSTA has opened a bank account for the collective and taught cost analysis and product tracking through spreadsheets. The collective consists primarily of Roberto, his two sisters Maria and Isabelle, and five nieces and nephews. The collective is a beautiful example of an entire family supporting each other through their trade, and JUSTA is happy to be supporting them and their creativity as well!
